Camera Obscura

Damn this connection. I hate dial-up, it already took me an hour to open one e-mail. Shitty.

The gig last night was astoundingly exhausting. Me and my brother went out the house at 5pm and went home 5am. I keep telling my brother that being early on scheduled time doesnt pay back big time because the earlier you come the longer you wait. Why cant some people change this habit. Its so annoying. Im sick and tired of showing up early on appointments, other people just dont know how to show respect to people who value time so greatly.

While we were traveling home from a gig, my brother told me he'd disband Lazy Lorelei. I wasnt able to respond to his statement during those time because I was in the midst of dizziness due to sleepiness secondary to exhaustion. Damn! that gig was the most exhausting of all the gigs we had so far. Plus the fact that we have to endure this really strong rain just to get to the studio to practice and then another journey to go to the gig venue amidst the flood and the strong wind plus the fact that I was wearing a new pair of shoes, we've encountered it all. And then arriving at the venue, wet, dirty and smelly, afterwhich, we need to wait for another 2-3 hour more before our set, we encountered it all. Yes! we are the ultimate survivors. With dignity and pride we stand with courage and pride with empty pockets on the side and few audiences to listen to us. Aha! these audience who were so kind to stay or probably pitied us that they stayed, manages to listen to us and let us finished the songs we compassionately played. Based from one or two applauses, some werent receptive at all. I understand their disposition because it was like 2:30 or 3 in the morning, their minds are already departing from their physical body and some of them are exhausted and wasted probably. I understand that, thats no problem. For me, I know I did my part. I know I gave my all eventhough we have few audience because few or more audience means that their audience, who went to the gig to listen to really good music and they deserve to get what they went there and paid for.

Then after the show, we headed straight home. The next day I talked to my brother about his strong statement about disbanding the band. I explained to him that what happened to us that night was the usual downfall on the part of the band. (He probably didnt get any good feedbacks, thats why he was acting that way). But thats the way of life sometimes you dont always get what you wish for. But when you get something so good, its better than what you expected. Its probably the beer, cigarettes and exhaustion talking which prompted him to disband the one thing that I love doing. And I know that I wont be able to do all of this if it wasnt for my brother's part. He is the soul of this band! Without him, there'll be no Lazy Lorelei. That's why he has to lessen the alcohol, cease smoking and take ascorbic acid so he wouldnt be making all this nonesense statements.

So, Lazy Lorelei will stay. We decided to follow the flow of the stream. Where it will head us, nobody knows. But one things for sure, we'll continue this great endeavor as long as we live or as long as we are finance (right Aris?). Especially now that someone will finance us! That means 3G celfones for each members. Yes! One of us we'll be leaving to work abroad. He'd give up the opportunity just to suffice the band the needs we endeared for. Good samaritan! Dont worry, well keep the band live for your great deed. Live long!!! and dont forget our fones! so we could stay in touch with viewing factors, courtesy of 3G technology.
